Hmm Windows Copilot can now access the system settings to help you make changes to the PC

Careful, apparently "being racist against AI" is a thing the techbros are trying now

Aren't you the guy who said you never would because your time had value to you or something like that
It used to be you were spending more time getting your stuff to work than working on your stuff. But that's all changed now.
THAT THE FOR-PROFIT BIAS OF ACTORS LIKE APPLE AND MICROSOFT WILL INEVITABLY MAKE THEM USER HOSTILE. AND HERE WE ARE! MUAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!

Someone likened the whole "Microsoft really wants you to use the Microsoft Account" to "Microsoft really wanting to get in your pants" and I can't unthink it because it's so true. They want to track everything you do and have their paws all over your data. I heard they even delete stuff from OneDrive if they think it's objectionable.

Here in the terms - Aside from the genuinely illegal and rotten stuff there is prohibited "sexually inappropriate – content that depicts gratuitous sexual acts" - So there's a lot of R-18 fiction out.

And If I'm paying for the storage? Why can't the liability shift to me, the author? Isn't that what "Safe harbour" laws are supposed to be?
And who defines what "gratuitous" is? That seems subjective.

Is it weird, though? We're at a stage of society where who gets to control what you see and do online, and what's considered "good" or "bad is going to be super important.
And the whole Linux vs. Windows thing is sort of a front on that war if you think about it. Who gets to tell you how to use your computer?
Are you in charge, or Microsoft? Microsoft decides to literally lock your keyboard until you click okay to apply their mandatory update, is that cool?
They say it's for "security" but they could force any change they like and you'd have no say in it.

Yeah that was the last straw. If I hadn't had backup computers I wouldn't have been able to work for like half a day when it forced the s[BLEEP]tty broken update that did not even work and I had to roll back, which it then kept insisting on because it was a "feature" update.

I am, because it's time for an upgrade, but that's where the Linux comes in LOL
they screwed themselves out of a lifelong customer
